Example List setLastCdr 011

 

 

Description

The first example shows the setLastCdr function set the tail of a List that previously has no cdr value. The second example show the setLastCdr function add another cdr value to the List.

 

Details

The List has no cdr value.

(define Y '( 3 4 ) ) Returns: #<Pair 123456>

A new cdr value is added

(setLastCdr Y 8) Returns: #<Pair 123456>
(cdr Y) Returns: 8

The List has an existing cdr value.

(setLastCdr '(1 2 . 3) 22) Returns: #<Pair 234567>

22 now becomes the last cdr of the List.

(display #<Pair 234567>) Returns: #(1 2 . 22)
