The range function computes the difference between the smallest and largest
elements found in the argument list. The list can contain Numbers, Cell references,
or a Range of cells. When to use The range function computes the distance between the smallest and largest
elements found in the argument list
(range num1 num2 ...) Computes and returns the difference between the smallest and largest elements
found in the argument list. If the range function cannot find any Analytic Information
Server object that evaluates to a number, it returns 0.
